Summary

Description

SWTPC CT-1024 Computer Terminal. This terminal would display 16 lines of 32 upper case characters on a television set. A complete kit with 1200 baud serial interface was $275 in January 1975.

The terminal was sold by Southwest Technical Products Corp. of San Antonio, Texas as a kit to be assembled by hobbyists. It was featured in a series of articles in Radio Electronics magazine starting in February 1975. The magazine published a complete set of schematics and circuit board layouts. It was also known as the TV Typewriter II and was designed by Ed Colle. Don Lancaster designed the original TV Typewriter that was featured in the September 1973 issue of Radio Electronics.
