Description
Français : Le Café Gondrée près de l'entrée ouest de Pegasus Bridge à Bénouville, est une bâtisse modeste de la fin du XIXe siècle. Elle est devenue un symbole et un lieu de pèlerinage pour les vétérans qui viennent régulièrement au mois de juin. C’est la première maison libérée de France le 6 juin 1944 par la division aéroportée britannique que commandait le major Howard.

The Café Gondrée near Pegasus Bridge (Bénouville) dating from the end of the 19th century, a symbol and a place of pilgrimage for veterans, it was the first house liberated from France on June 6, 1944 by the British airborne division of Major Howard.
