Description
English: Denmark's first steamship, the paddle steamer Caledonia, was acquired used in England in 1819 and served as a mail and passenger steamer on the route between Copenhagen and Kiel. The image, which appears to be a lithograph, probably dates to the active years of the ship, and no later than 1897, when it was used in the book "Vort folk i det nittende aarhundrede". File in mfs.dk (see source). The original file is labelled CC-BY-NC-SA to "M/S Museet for Søfart" (Danish Maritime Museum).
