Photograph, Masks (toned vintage gelatin print, 5" x 7", 1973) by artist Carole Harmel. Illustrates an early and key stage in Harmel's development and career when she was focusing on surreal, figurative works, involving nudes, props and theatrical settings. These new works were exhibited and reviewed extensively and this particular work won a prize at the Art Institute of Chicago's "Chicago & Vicinity Show" of 1973.
