  • [1]: It was in the first decades of the 10th c. that the country of Aragon lost its independence and entered the orbit of the kingdon of Pamplona. Around 922, King Sancho Garcés I of Pamplona subjected the country to his hegemony.
  • [2]: El gobierno de Sancho Garcés dio lugar, además, a la incorporación a su reino de los dominios del condado de Aragon (920) cuando el conde Galindo Aznar II reconoció la soberanía pamplonesa y su hija, Andregoto, se casó con el heredero de Pamplona.
  • [3]: Re Ugo tornò anche una volta per aver Roma; ma fallitagli anche questa prova, è stato creduto che allora in vendetta dei Romani si impossessasse dell'Esarcato (Muratori, An. 939) trovandosi ora in fatt queste città comprese nel Regno suo. Però ad altri è sembrato che ciò sia avvenuto anche più anni prima; notandosi che Re Ugo in certo suo Diploma dato circa il 928 prendeva sotto la protezione sua i possedimenti di un tale posti tanto nel territorio Balneense, nel Montefeltro, in Bobio , in Cesena, atque Arimino, in Arezzo ec. quanto in ogni altro lougo di Romagna, di Toscana, del Ducato di Spoleti ec. (Murat. Ant. M.A.I. 271).
