Summary

Watercolor sketch of children in the "schoolroom" (i.e. the room in an upper-class house used for the education of the children of the family), ca. 1820. At right is a globe used for teaching geography.

One of the boys is mischievously putting a cat on his sister's shoulder (the only one of the children who seems to be industriously studying).
