Summary

Description
English: Church of St Mary Magdalene A stone building, part rubble and part ashlar, under a Cotswold stone roof, incorporating chancel, nave, south aisle and porch, west tower, and north vestry. The church was built by the 12th century but only two arches survive from that date at the west end of the south aisle.

The nave, south aisle, and chancel were largely rebuilt in the 14th century. The three-stage, embattled west tower was built in the 15th century and features gargoyles at the angles.

The church was restored between 1871 and 1878 when a south porch was built and a north vestry was added. The roof may have been replaced about the same time as a former roof-line is visible on the east face of the tower.
