English: This photograph was taken by me at the Kalleshvara temple (also spelt Kalleshwara or Kallesvara) at Bagali (called Balgali in ancient times), Davangere district, Karnataka state, India. The construction of the temple shrine and closed mantapa was completed in the late Rashtrakuta empire period (mid-10th century). The ornate open mantapa was built by Western (Kalyani) Chalukya King Tailapa II in 987 A.D.
