Summary

Description
Русский: схема умножителя напряжения
English: Cockcroft-Walton voltage multiplier circuit, also called the Greinacher multiplier. Powered by an alternating current, it produces a DC voltage at the righthand terminal equal to NVpp where Vpp is the peak-to-peak voltage swing of the source, and N is the number of stages. This diagram shows a 2 stage circuit. The voltage multiplier is used widely in CRT television sets, photomultiplier tube power supplies, copiers, laser printers and the Cockcroft-Walton particle accelerator.
