Description
English: Cornish engines, Crofton Crofton is home to the world's oldest working in situ steam engine - 1812. It is also running on original working load to pump water to the canal's summit level. The world's oldest workable engine is 1779 and is in Thinktank, Birmingham but runs off load in deference to its age and wooden beam.
