Description
English: "Tá Éire fíorálainn! Land of green hills and dark beer. With capital Dublin glowing in the Irish night." — The original photograph caption by astronaut Chris Hadfield on the International Space Station included the first message from space in the Irish language.

County Dublin observed from the International Space Station in February 2013. The view was shot by Expedition 34 crew member, Chris Hadfield, and extends from Balbriggan in the north (top left of picture), past Dublin City and Dublin Bay in the centre, to Greystones in the south (centre right of picture). The original image has been rotated 180 degrees to present a more familiar orientation.
