English: Within a Garter inscribed (honi soit) qui male y pense an escutcheon of the arms of Edward Courtenay, 1st Earl of Devon (d.1509), Knight of the Garter: Or, three torteaux, one of a pair facing each other on tops of chancel arch, each with a pair of kneeling angel supporters, St Peter's Church, Tiverton, Devon, situated next to Tiverton Castle, ancient seat of the Earls of Devon.
