Deutsch: Im Ortswappen stehen die beiden Felder Rot und Gold für die beiden Ortsteile. Durch die Diezer Verträge fielen Girod und Kleinholbach 1564 an das Kurfürstentum Trier, kamen aber 1802 bzw. 1815 wieder an Nassau zurück.
