Deutsch: Wappen der ehemaligen Gemeinde Rodenkirchen seit 1975 Stadtteil von Köln: „In Rot ein gesenkter silberner (weißer) Anker zwischen zwei silbernen (weißen) Schilden; darin rechts ein aufrechter roter Schlüssel mit abgekehrtem Bart, links ein blau gekrönter und bewehrter steigender roter Löwe.“
Das Wappen wuirde 1938 vom Oberpräsidenten der Rheinprovinz genehmigt. Es zeigt die Symbole Petri (Schlüssel, Erzstift Köln und Herzogtum Berg (Löwe). Der Anker symbolisiert die Lage der Gemeinde am Rhein. English: „Gules, a lowered anchor Argent between two escutcheons Argent; right an errected key gules with averted bit, left a crowned and armed azure lion rampant gules.“ The arms were granted in 1938 and show the symbols of the the patron saint of Electorate of Cologne (key) and Duchy of Berg (lion). The anchor symbolises the locatiion by the Rhine river. |
