Summary

Description
English: I am trying to find someone who still has a complete Step Saver dairy milking system from the 1950's. It saved the dairy farmer with bucket milkers the trouble of carrying a heavy 50 pound milker to the milkhouse to pour milk into the bulk tank.

Instead the farmer just stepped on the foot pedal on the Step Saver to lift open the stainless steel cover, and pours the milk into the Step Saver. The milk was then sucked through a long coil of hose around the portable unit and traveled on hooks hung from the ceiling back to the milkhouse, to a glass vacuum breaker device.

As the farmer milked the row of cows they'd just uncoil some more hose and hang it from the ceiling, pushing the Step Saver further down the aisle.

This is a mockup of how my father's dairy farm may have used the Step Saver at one time. I personally have not seen a working system for about 20 years (mid 1980s), when I was a young kid about 14.

If you know where I can find a complete system with the cart, vacuum breaker, and vacuum pump, even if in a mothballed state in a vacant barn, I would be interested to come and photograph the system.

I would be willing to buy new hose and rubber parts for a mothballed system to get it running for a video shoot, showing milk (10-20 gallons bought from a nearby store) pouring from a bucket milker into the Step Saver and flowing through the coiled hose and the vacuum breaker.
