English: 1854 engraving of the seal of Eleanor Montendre / Mountender (died 1349), widow of Sir Guy Ferre "the Younger" (died 1323), showing Ferre impaling Mountender. Ultimate source: The Archaeological Journal, Vol.11, 1854, Examples of Mediaeval Seals (pp. 367-380) Weston S. Walford, F.S.A. and Albert Way, M.A., F.S.A., p.375[1]. Eleanor's family identified only on basis of arms, similar to arms of Montendre, a french family.
