Español: Armas adoptadas el 16 de mayo de 1952, siendo alcalde don Estanislao Espinoza Garrido. En campo medio partido y cortado: 1.º, de azur, con un hacha, de plata, con mango de oro, en homenaje de los primeros colonos, formando aspa con una espada de plata, con guarnición de oro, por el Ejército Pacificador; 2.º, de sinople, con tres espigas de oro, por la Agricultura; y 3.º, de oro, con tres pumas, de gules, en palo, por el nombre de la región y del nÿlmen Quilapán, acompañados de dos ramas de laurel, emblema de la Victoria. Bordura de plata, cargada de ocho copihues, de gules, como distintivo heráldico de la Araucanía.
