English: So-called “Exaltation de la Fleur” (exaltation of the flower), fragment from a grave stele: two women wearing a peplos and kekryphalos (hair net), hold poppy or pomegrenate flowers, and maybe a small bag of seeds. Parian marble, made in Pharsalos, ca. 470–460 BC. From Pharsalos, Thessaly.
Français : Fragment de stèle funéraire, relief dit de « l'Exaltation de la fleur » : deux femmes portant le péplos et le cécryphale (filet à cheveux) tiennent des fleurs de pavot ou de grenade, et peut-être un sac de graines. Marbre de Paros, v. 470–460 av. J.-C. fabrication et provenance : Pharsale, Thessalie.
