Summary

Description A U.S. Navy McDonnell Douglas F/A-18A Hornet of Strike Fighter Squadron VFA-305 "Lobos" prepares to catch the arresting cable as it comes in for a landing on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) off the coast of Chile, in 1990. The U.S. Naval Reserve squadron VFA-305 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 11 (CVW-11) during Lincoln´s circumnavigation of South America from 25 September to 20 November 1990.
