English: Falkirk: the Cross Well in the marketplace After a drought in 1682 when both of the burns providing the town's water supply dried up, a well was provided here by Livingston family. It was replaced in 1817, having fallen into a poor state of repair.
It was reinstated here in 2005 having spent eleven years under repair.
