Summary

Description
English: Former railway engineers' office, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England
The blue plaque to the right of the entrance informs that this is the only remaining building from the original North Midland Railway station of 1837, probably designed by Francis Thompson, and eminent railway architect of the period. The exact original use of the building is unknown, but the presence of the coat of arms 6891099 suggest that it may have been offices rather than the 'machine house' suggested in the Listing description. Listed Grade II.
