Ruins of Fort Livingston, Louisiana.

View across the courtyard looking southwest from the terreplein on the east side of the fort. Note the buildup of sand in the foreground, the light colored granite steps (left) and lintels over the openings in the brick walls, and the exposed tabby in the broken outer wall in the background, left of center. Barataria Pass and Grand Isle are visible beyond the fort.
