Summary

Description Fritillaria. Tablero de damas. Fritillaria nervosa. Pertenece esta planta a la familia de las Liliaceas. Características: Perenne. Hojas alternas, en número de 4 a 10. Flores solitarias, acampanadas, de 25 a 30 mm. de color caoba púrpura oscuro, con dos tipos de piezas “ajedrezadas”: Las internas más anchas por arriba y terminadas en punta; y las tres interiores más estrechas y todas acabadas en punta recurvándose. Nectario en su base.Hábitat: de 1.200 a 2000 m de altitud; en pastos densos, repisas y laderas rocosas. Mide de 10 a 40 cm. Florece de Mayo a Julio. Calificada como muy rara. Curiosidades: Sinónimo de: Fritillaria pyrenaica. Es una planta bonita, original por el color de sus flores. Endémica del Norte y Noroeste Peninsular. Los bulbos de esta planta son repelentes para los topos.
