Summary

Description
English: The Fulton County Museum, located at 237 Kingsboro Avenue at the corner of Academy Place in Gloversville, New York, is the headquarters of the Fulton County Historical Society, which was founded in 1952. The museum's building was built in 1900 as a public elementary school, on the site of the Kingsborough Academy, founded in 1831 by Elisha Yale. When a new building was constructed for the elementary school in 1972, the Society took over the old building, and the museum opened to the public in 1973. The building is part of the Kingsboro Historic Distict. (Sources: [1], [2])
