DescriptionGuide stone at the Royal George, New Hey Road, Scammonden - geograph.org.uk - 262314.jpg
English: Guide stone at the Royal George, New Hey Road, Scammonden This gives distances along New Hey Road to Marsden, Huddersfield and Halifax (ignoring anywhere in Lancashire!) and along the branch road to Scammonden and Daynhead, together with the name of the surveyor. There is no longer a branch road here, as it has been severed by the M62. What is left of the road is now a public footpath.
