The image is of the ship badge for the aircraft carrier HMAS Melbourne, a naval vessel of the Royal Australian Navy. The ship badge is a logo used to represent the ship, but unlike other vessels (which share the same badge when the same name is used) is unique to the aircraft carrier. The image was originally located at http://www.navy.gov.au/spc/history/ships/melbourne2.html, but following a reorganisation of the RAN website in August 2008, this page no longer exists.
