Summary

Description
English: Villa Welgelegen after 2009 restoration. On the left is the eastern entrance (no longer in use), originally the entrance to the private residence of Henry Hope. He built the building as an art gallery for receiving formal visitors to his bank. The old public entrance for day-visitors is in the front (not shown). On the right is the rear public entrance for visitors who stayed overnight. Today this rear entrance is the main entrance.
