Summary
DescriptionHenschel Hs 123 A-1 (52+A13), 3. StukaG 165, Kitzingen, ca. 1937 (2).jpg |
Deutsch: Henschel Hs 123 A-1 (52 + A13), 3./StukaG 165 (3. Reichsgebiet. Die Aufstellungs- u. Stationierungsorte des Sturzkampfgeschwaders 165 lagen bis Mai 1939 in Unterfranken, Oberbayern (5 Monate) und Nordost-Baden:
English: Henschel Hs 123 A-1 (52 + A13), 3rd/StukaG 165 (3rd Squadron/Sturzkampfgeschwader 165), Kitzingen am Main, ca 1937. Series production of the Hs 123 A had started in 1936, assembly plants: Henschel and Ago. The town recognisable in the foreground, with wide feeder or through roads and rows of terraced houses on both sides, is probably not the stationing location of Kitzingen, but a larger town or city in the German Reich at the time, which happened to be flying over at the time the photo was taken. The deployment and stationing locations of Sturzkampfgeschwader 165 were in Lower Franconia, Upper Bavaria (5 months) and north-east Baden until May 1939:
