DescriptionHorse tram of Parkside Tramway Co at Hackney depot ca 1915 (SLSA PRG-1356-1-13).jpg
English: Horse tram number 4 of the Parkside Tramway Co. Limited, Adelaide, South Australia, on the forecourt of the Municipal Tramways Trust depot at Hackney, after electrification had been introduced. The tram would have been withdrawn from service by 1914, when Adelaide's horse tram services ceased. It is evident that the car's original plate frame with leaf springs, common in Europe, has been cut away under the saloon body and has been replaced with "pedestal" running gear as used by the John Stephenson Company (New York, US), Duncan & Fraser (Adelaide, South Australia) and most UK tramways.
