English: Response to the request for permission from the Maritime Ministry to start building 6 gun boats using this year's emergency funds, for the protection of the coasts, if the submitted drawings are approved. Sultan Abdulhamid II responds in his own handwriting, "modify drawing and resubmit it so the ship's bow resembles that of a cruiser"
Türkçe: Sahillerin muhafazasında gerekli olan altı ganbotun masraflarının bu senenin fevkalâde tertibinden ödenmek üzere, takdim edilen resmi de tasvip olunursa inşaatına başlanılması için izin isteyen Bahriye Nezareti'nin gönderdiği tezkireye cevaben Sultan İkinci Abdülhamid'in kendi el yazısıyla "Geminin baş tarafı krovozörle müşâbih (benzer) olarak yapılmak üzere resmin ona göre tashi ve takdimi." şeklinde hattı.
