Summary

Description An Indonesian Navy MBB Bo 105 reconnaissance helicopter is guided to the flight deck of USS Inchon (MCS-12) on 13 June 2001. The Indonesian Navy conducted deck landing qualification aboard the USS Inchon during the 1st Western Pacific Mine Countermeasures Exercise (MCMEX) 2001. MCMEX involved 14 countries, in an effort to maintain safe navigation of international waterways by using mine hunting and disposal techniques of the participating navies. Hosted by Singapore, the exercise includes participants from Australia, China, France, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, United States, and Vietnam.
