Interior of Church of All Saints, Otley Road, Harlow Hill, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. It is the cemetery chapel in Harlow Hill Cemetery, and was designed in 1870 by architects Isaac Thomas Shutt and Alfred Hill Thompson. Showing scissor-braced truss roof, supported on simple corbels. Note: this image is not out of focus. It uses a technique used in dark conditions, where quality of light and depth of perspective need to be shown, and where flash would be counter-productive due to flat effect. Flash was forced off, then a black image taken. The image was edited by increasing gamma until this picture appeared out of the black image. This type of image is useful for e.g. book covers and posters, where a contrast font will show up well. |
