Summary

Description
English: Isolator (resonance absorption isolator) in WG16 waveguide with UBR100-compatible flanges. A non-reciprocal device, passing microwave power in one direction only (note arrow on label on right). Consists of WG16 containing two strips of ferrite (black rectangle near right edge of each broad wall), which are biased by a horseshoe permanent magnet external to the guide. Ferrite absorbs TE10 wave entering from the far end (only). Not sure of the purpose of the ceramic strips (white, tapered) parallel with the ferrite strips. Got it at Anchor Surplus for £2.50.
