Provenance:

  • Perronet légua par testament son portrait à son collaborateur de Prony qui en fit don aux musées royaux ;
  • donné par M. de Prony ;
  • entré dans les collections nationales en 1843 et inscrit sur les inventaires du cabinet des dessins du Louvre ;
  • envoi vraissemblable à Versailles peu après 1843 ;
  • retour au Louvre en 1869 ;
  • dépôt du musée du Louvre à Versailles, 6 août 1923 ;
  • exposé dans les salles du XVIIIe siècle, première antichambre du dauphin, salle 33 A, en 1965 ;
  • restauration, 2010.
