Français : Jerôme Becker né a Kalmthout en 1850 mort à Anvers en 1912. Lieutenant d'artillerie, explorateur au Congo. Auteur de "la Vie en Afrique" (1887) 2vol. et "La 3ème expédition belge au Pays Noir" (1883). Becker paraît ici en "costume de station (coloniale)" comme le dit la légende dans l'ouvrage original.
