Description Locomotive on the railroad line of the Jersey Shore, Pine Creek and Buffalo Railway or one of its successors. According to Thomas T. Taber III's book "Sunset Along Susquehanna Waters", the James B. Weed and Company was a lumber business that did logging and operated a sawmill from 1886 to 1910 on Slate Run (a tributary of Pine Creek) in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Weed and Co. had an engine #51 which was a 0-4-0, and to get to Trout Run, the trains would have had to travel on the JSPC&BR. This engine was rented from the NYCRR and returned there as its disposition in 1904 or later.
