Description Astronaut John Young peers up from a rescue sling as he is hoisted aboard an SH-3A Sea King helicopter of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron HS-3 off the amphibious assault ship USS Guadalcanal (LPH-7) after the splashdown of his Gemini 10 space capsule in the Atlantic Ocean on 21 July 1966.
