Description
English: A Russian KA-27PS (Helix D) helicopter flies past the flight deck of USS BELLEAU WOOD (LHA 3) (not shown) to prepare for landing on the amphibious assault ship during Exercise COOPERATION FROM THE SEA '96, off the coast of Vladivostok, Russia. The landing marks the first time a Russian helicopter has touched down on a US Navy ship as part of this annual exercise.
