English: Domed and footed box, Toledo, Spain, circa 1918. Iron with gold damascene, 8.5 x 12.5 x 6.6 cm. Inside the casket is the rather large visiting card of Victoria Eugenia of Battenberg. The card bears an intertwined crowned monogram ‘VE’ embossed in gold and the note ‘From | Victoria Eugenia | Queen of Spain’. From the Khalili Collection of Spanish Damascened Metalwork, accession number ZUL1.
