Description
English: Kirkgate Market In 1826 the Leeds vicarage and croft were purchased to create a fruit, vegetable and cattle market. An elegant Crystal Palace-style covered market was erected in 1857, followed in 1904 by today's magnificent market hall designed by Leeming and Leeming.
