Summary

Description
Polski: Fotografie przedstawiają mieszkańców Oświęcimia – zarówno chrześcijan, jak i Żydów – podczas kopania rowów, prawdopodobnie przeciwlotniczych. Darczyńca wspomina, że były to rowy przeciwczołgowe, jednak analiza fotografii nie potwierdza raczej takiej tezy. Miało to miejsce na przełomie lipca i sierpnia 1939 roku. Zdjęcia zostały udostępnione w 1985 roku w Archiwum Państwowego Muzeum Auschwitz-Birkenau w Oświęcimiu przez oświęcimianina Stanisława Neumanna. (Opis: Artur Szyndler, CC BY-SA 4.0)
English: The photographs show the inhabitants of Oświęcim - both Christians and Jews - digging ditches, probably anti-aircraft. The donor mentions that these were anti-tank ditches, but the analysis of the photographs does not confirm such a thesis. The event took place at the turn of July and August 1939. The photos were made available in 1985 in the Archives of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum in Oświęcim by Stanisław Neumann, an inhabitant of Oświęcim. (Description: Artur Szyndler, CC BY-SA 4.0)
