Величко в 1891-1901 годах здание Общественной библиотеки на полтора миллиона томов (основана в 1886), с 1920-х Государственная научная библиотека имени В.Г. Короленко - слева, новый корпус книгохранилища этой библиотеки (1970-е) - справа. Стиль ренессанс. За проект библиотеки А.Н. Бекетов получил в СПб звание академика архитектуры. |
