The drawing:

• This is the floor plan of the Lakshminarasimha temple in Bhadravati, Karnataka.

• It is a three sanctum temple, west sanctum for Lakshmi-Narasimha, south sanctum for Venugopala, and north sanctum for Vishnu-Purosottama. The temple opens to the east.

• The temple is Vaishnava, but like most major Hindu temples, it includes artwork of Shaiva, Shakti and Vedic deities. Notable artwork includes those of Vishnu avatars with other Vaishnava legends, as well as Ganesha, Candika, Dakshinamurti, Sarasvati, Brahma, Surya, Harihara (half Shiva, half Vishnu), Rati-Manmatha, Bhairava and others.

• The upper portion of the vimana superstructure was damaged and the ruins have been restored.

• This is an 8-pointed star shaped structure, with bifacial square plan symmetrically rotated.

• The temple's architectural plan follows the square and circle principle found in historic Sanskrit texts.
