Summary

Description
English: The steam trawler ‘Vera’ was launched on 27th July 1907. In 1915 she was requisitioned by the Royal Navy and as a minesweeper. Having returned to the fishing industry in 1919 she was wrecked at Mydalssandur, South Iceland in 1925.

This particular image shows an example of the sideways launch method, unique to Cook, Welton & Gemmell's Grovehill shipyard at Beverley.
