Summary

Description

I'm led to believe this may be Carthaea saturnioides. Taken by myself.

Probably not. Pattern on wings and body does not match with specimens on Google Image search --dysmorodrepanis

see see http://www.usyd.edu/macleay/larvae/moths.html

This is very likely Dasypodia cymatodes, not Carthaea saturnioides. Check long thin antennae, crescent-shaped "eyes" on wings, and scalloped edges of wings.
