Le général debout est le Lieutenant-General John Clifford Hodges Lee, Chief Services of Supply US European Theater of Operations, surnommé ("Jesus Christ Himself") à cause des initiales de ses prénoms J.C.H. et pour le distinguer du Lt-Gen Courtney Hicks Hodges et également pour sa suffisance, voir ici ne citation, page 97, de Histoire du débarquement en Normandie d'Olivier Wieviorka : " Le général Lee, adjoint au commandant de théâtre et responsable des Services of Supply (SOS) donc de l'intendance, n'a habituellement droit qu'à une peinture caricaturale.
