A Philippine Star editorial cartoon depicting Taiwan President Chen Shui-bian (holding a "Tai-ping" sign) successfully hitting a Filipino (holding a "Ligao" sign) with a rock. Tai-ping is the Taiwanese name for Itu Aba Island, where President Chen visited in February 2008. The cartoon is a commentary to Philippines' incapability of enforcing its claim in the Spratlys due of its lagging military capabilities. Ligao is the Philippine name for Itu-Aba Island.
