English: This shows the newer parts of Longyearbyen, on the east side of the river, and in the background Adventdalen stretching away from the town on the right, below Operafjellet. To the left of Operafjellet is Mälardalen valley, and we also see a part of Hiorthfjellet on the left in the back. The peak on the right, next to the town, is Sukkertoppen. At the bottom right is the school, Longyearbyen skole, and the sports hall, Svalbardhallen. |
