Description
English: National Archaeological Museum in Naples, (inventory number 9993), mosaic from the House of the Faun in Pompeii. The upper one is a cat grabbing a chicken; the lower one has living ducks, representing everything the Romans loved on their table: two ducks (here with lotus flower buds in their beak), four little birds (tied by the legs), shells and seafood, including fish.
Medium opus vermiculatum
