This historic image shows Maija Isola in characteristic pose, seated cross-legged on the floor, paintbrush in hand; it is the image used for the retrospective exhibition of her life and work at the Design Museum in Helsinki. No other known image captures the artist's way of working, so its inclusion at low resolution is considered fair usage.
